Yesterday on 27th of july we arrived back in Holland from our summer holiday in the South of Spain. We washed all our clothes en we are watching the Olympic games right now on tv.
In Spain we made a trip around Andalucia. We began our trip on the airport of Malaga. After spending the night in a cheap hostel in front of the trainstation we went by train to Granada. The town itself was not very interesting, but the Alhambra was very beautiful. There was a bomb-explosion a few days before we were there. On the day we were at the Alhambra there was a lot of rain.
By bus we went to Cordoba. A town with a center of little streets. One street more beautiful then the other. There were lot of patios with lots of plants and flowers. We stayed in a perfect youth hostel only the peole in there were not so kind. We had an own bathroom and we had a good working airconditioning. We saw a Cathedral that used to be a mosque at earlier days. On your left you see a picture inside the Cathedral. We also went to a Spanisch fleamarket. Our conclusion is that Cordoba is a very romantic town.

We were very lazy on camping El Sur. It was a long way to walk but the swimming pool at the end was the best thing we could get. In the restaurant that belonged to the camping we ate much gazpacho, that's a soup made of raw vegetables. Tasted lovely with all those hot wheather. We also drunk sangria. That is red wine with citrus fruits and ice cubes in it and it's also lovely.
Ronda is a place build on two rocks and between the rocks is a ravine. Over the ravine they build a bridge.
We made a daytrip to Gibraltar, but that was not very succesful with us because we both feel sick that day.
On Saturday morning we went by train to the
airport of Malaga. We fly back to Holland with Martinair.
I will write a better report later.
